Australians’ passion for cruising continues to grow.
New data released by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) reveals that a record 1.45 million Australians enjoyed a cruise holiday in 2025, up 9.5% from 1.32 million in 2024, and beyond the previous record of 1.35 million set in 2018.
The report also revealed that Australians showed a preference for close-to home itineraries – 1.16 million Australians cruised within Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific during 2025, an increase of 8%.
